I’m originally from Shipley ,West Yorkshire now based in Southbourne- on- sea ,Dorset.

I’ve exhibited and sold my art work  widely (and variedly!): from  a bath house in Covent Garden to The Royal festival Hall, London and  most recently at Cupola Contemporary Art Sheffield ,(simultaneously at Spaza Gallery Johannesburg) in a show called ‘Kilter Kelter' /'Take Takataka’ ,meaning  (in both Yorkshire vernacular and Johanesburgian respectively) transform junk into cash.

I have a degree in Fine Art  from John Moores University, Liverpool and studied   Postgraduate  Illustration at Central St Martins , London.

I have   pieces in  private and some public collections and have illustrated for  magazines such as The Guardian,   The Illustrated London News ,Hot Graphics International, Homes and Gardens The BBC  ( Ariel) , Good Food  magazine  , The Big Issue ,Unifree -Istanbul, Polydor Records,The British Council  , Fans Clothing -London ,Trailfinders and many trade magazines.

*I  have sold my textile designs for fashion fabrics in L.A  and New York.

I  have worked for  many councils ,education authorities , galleries and museums  in Yorkshire ,devising and carrying out  art workshops ,specialising  in  both junk media  and mural painting.
In  2006  to raise money for MIND ( in memory of a friend) I did a series of  art workshops   for  Hay Days at The West Yorkshire Playhouse  and  Skippko  Community arts , Leeds ( both regular employers).   Also for this cause  a friend and I did something that could only be called ‘belly -dance bag -packing ‘ at a supermarket in Otley , West Yorkshire. We  had pictures of the raffle prizes ( artwork donated by friends ) pinned to us amongst the fringes , tassels  and  sequins . We raised £300 in 2 hours !

I have  mentored other artists and taken inset days for : Sheffield Arts Education at The  Bannerdale Centre; The West Yorkshire Playhouse , Leeds ; Leeds Leisure Services and   Leeds Learning Alliance.

I give talks on specifically art and recycling...

I will take on junk-to-art challenges  should you have surplus!
